The process begins with consultation. This is by appointment so that the client is properly accommodated at the private studio. During the consultation, Hana will discuss with you your event theme, time of event, venue, mood and inspiration. These are important factors in designing your dress. Also during consultation, sketches will be created, the cost will be computed, and your measurements will be taken. The process progresses with the construction of the muslin or the mock dress. This is meant to refine the design and perfect the fit of the dress before the real fabric is cut. The last process is the construction of the actual dress. In the duration of the construction, several fittings may be scheduled as it is common for brides to drop in weight in anticipation and excitement of the event. How early should I schedule an initial consultation? We recommend clients to come to us six to eight months before the wedding. Clients that give us more time will have additional flexibility in design and fitting schedules. For weddings that are less than six months away, we can construct your gown in as few as a month if our schedule allows. However, rush charges may be incurred, and there may be limitations in fittings and design. What do I need to bring to my initial consultation? Some clients have specific ideas in minds, while others allow for us to have complete creative freedom. You may bring photos of gowns and design details that you like. It would be very helpful also if you have prepared an inspiration board that details the theme of your wedding. Please also wear good support underwear should the measurements be taken on the meeting. It will give the dress a better shape. What if I am planning to lose weight? Please give advanced notice so we can take new measurements and schedule the construction of your gown at the time you are at your most comfortable weight. How much is an initial sketch? All design sketches are free. How much does a consultation cost? All consultations are free. To accommodate prospective clients for a private and one-on-one consultation, please call Hana for an appointment. What are your payment terms? We accept cash and local checks. A 50% deposit is due when the sketch and fabrics are chosen. The balance is due upon the completion of the gown. Do you have wedding packages? As much as we would want to offer packages for everyone, weddings are special occasions that do not have cookie-cutter bridal party designs. All weddings are unique, with themes and inspirations that are truly one-of-a-kind. Most brides want their bridal party to look great but still be on budget, so it is suggested to contact Hana so she can create a set just for you. Do you only do wedding gowns? We do most special occasion/formal women’s wear. Debutante and promenade dresses are included. Will you help me dress up on my wedding day? Yes. If the schedule permits and if you are in Metro Manila, we would be happy to help you dress up on your wedding day. We’ll bring a dress form, steam iron, and our handy sewing kit for those emergencies. Unfortunately we cannot do long distance travel.
